Preparation Steps
- Before proceeding, it's important to make sure that the wallet you wish to teleport ENJ tokens from is accessible through the Polkadot{.js} extension in your browser.
- It's also crucial that the wallet is configured correctly for use with the Enjin Blockchain Console. To make sure of that, please follow the steps in this link: Configuring Polkadot{.js} for use with the Enjin Blockchain Console
Depositing ENJ on Exchanges
When depositing ENJ tokens on exchanges, it's crucial to know which chain the exchange supports.
Some exchanges only support Enjin Relaychain deposits, while others may support both Enjin Relaychain and Matrixchain deposits.
To determine which chain your exchange supports, check the deposit address provided by the exchange.
Enjin Relaychain addresses start with "en", while Matrixchain addresses start with "ef".
If the exchange deposit address starts with "en", it means the exchange only supports Enjin Relaychain deposits.
If you have ENJ tokens on Matrixchain and wish to deposit them on an exchange that only supports Enjin Relaychain, you must first teleport your tokens to Relaychain. Failure to do this could result in the loss of your funds.
To teleport your tokens, follow our guide: How to teleport ENJ tokens from Enjin Matrixchain to Enjin Relaychain.
Please be aware that not all exchanges support both chains, and depositing tokens on the incorrect chain can lead to loss of funds. Always double-check the chain your exchange supports before proceeding with any deposits.
