Heads-up, Enjineers!
Degen NFT holders can now create and manage nomination pools directly on NFT.io—without needing complex extrinsics or technical setup. Everything is accessible in just a few clicks, right from the browser.
What Are Nomination Pools?
Nomination pools allow multiple users to combine ENJ and stake together as a single entity. This opens staking participation to more community members, helping secure the Enjin Relaychain through Nominated Proof-of-Stake (NPoS).
By pooling ENJ, even smaller holders can earn staking rewards while contributing to the network’s security.
Why Use NFT.io to Create a Pool?
Previously, pool creation required using the Enjin Console and following a technical process. With NFT.io, a dedicated Staking Dashboard provides:
Simple in-browser setup
Pool creation in just a few clicks
Easy management of settings and validators
How to Create a Nomination Pool on NFT.io
Step 1: Select a Degen NFT
Connect your wallet at NFT.io. See the Help Center guide, How to Access and Connect to NFT.io. The primary connection method, Enjin Connect, is recommended for the best performance when connecting your wallet to NFT.io.
-
From the navigation menu, click Stake to open the Staking Dashboard.
-
Go to My Degens.
If a Degen is not yet associated with a pool, only Capacity is shown.
If a Degen is already linked to a pool, a three-dot menu appears with the following options:View Pool – Displays pool details such as Pool ID, creation date, Reward Rate, and Reward Rate History.
Edit Pool – Allows adjustments to the pool name, commission, and nominated validators.
View Degen – Opens the Degen asset page showing details and activity, with the option to list the Degen for sale.
View on Subscan – Redirects to the Subscan page for that pool.
Share – Copies the pool’s URL for sharing.
Click Create Pool for a Degen that is not yet associated with a pool.
Step 2: Create the Pool
Take note that creating a nomination pool requires 2,500 ENJ Pool Deposit. This deposit is staked and earns rewards but can only be withdrawn by the pool owner when the pool is destroyed.
Enter the pool details:
Pool Name – The name displayed on NFT.io and Enjin Wallet. Supports special characters and emojis.
-
Commission Rate (optional) – Percentage of rewards (0–10%) that goes to the Degen NFT owner as commission. Higher commission increases owner rewards but lowers pool competitiveness. Must be less than or equal to 10%.
Max Commission Rate (optional) – Sets an upper limit on the commission rate. This can only be decreased, not increased. Must be less than or equal to 10%.
Lock Commission (optional) – Permanently prevents commission changes. Once locked, the rate cannot be altered unless the pool is destroyed.
-
Validator Nominations –
Choose Auto-select Validators for recommended options, or
Choose Manual Selection to pick validators individually. See the Help Center guide: Choosing Validators for Your Nomination Pool.
Step 3: Review and Sign
Review the pool setup.
Click Create.
Sign the transaction using the same connection method.
⚡ Pool creation typically completes in under two minutes.
Once live, pool settings such as commission rates, roles, or validators can be updated anytime through the dashboard.
