Melting an asset on the Enjin Blockchain permanently destroys that asset.
When an Enjin Blockchain asset is melted, the deposit fee is returned to the asset’s creator, and any infused Enjin Coin (ENJ) locked inside the asset becomes retrievable.
Melting can be useful for:
Removing unwanted or spam tokens.
Enabling gameplay mechanics (for example, burning a health potion to consume it in-game).
How to Melt an Asset
Open the Enjin Wallet and navigate to the asset you want to melt. If you’re not familiar with how to navigate to your assets, start here: Exploring Your Tokens.
-
Tap Melt from the bottom menu.
-
Review the details displayed on the screen:
From – The wallet address holding the asset.
# Asset – The total quantity of that asset held by the wallet.
Melt items – Adjust the quantity you wish to melt. The maximum amount you can select is the number shown in the # Asset field.
You are receiving – The total amount of ENJ you will receive after melting the asset. (This will show “0 ENJ” unless the asset contains infused ENJ.)
-
Per item – The amount of ENJ infused in each asset and the number of assets being melted.
Tap Melt to proceed.
Sign the transaction. The asset will be melted within a few moments once the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain.
🔥 Melting an item permanently destroys it. Once melted, the asset cannot be recovered.
