Introduction
This guide provides a brief explanation about the replication and claiming process as well as step-by-step instructions on how to claim your replicated assets from Ethereum and JumpNet on the Enjin Blockchain using the Enjin Wallet app.
The Migration Process
- Snapshot: A snapshot was taken on December 8, 2023 (12:00 UTC). All Ethereum and JumpNet collections that were included on the snapshot block will be replicated on the Enjin Blockchain. It's important to note that tokens created after the snapshot block will not be claimable on the Enjin Blockchain, as well as tokens that were melted prior to the snapshot block.
- Claiming Ownership: A few days after the snapshot is taken [December 8, 2023 at 12:00 UTC], collection owners will be able to claim collection ownership on the replicated collection in the Enjin Blockchain. At this time, you will also be able to claim ownership of the assets you had on Ethereum & JumpNet, on the Enjin Blockchain.
How to Claim Your Assets
1. Launch the Enjin Wallet App: Start by launching the Enjin wallet app and navigate to the NFT menu.
2. Claim Assets: You will see a banner stating {?} Assets ready to be claimed. Clicking on this will take you to the asset migration screen.
Here, you will see the amount of assets available to be claimed, separated by wallet address.
3. Select an Address: For each address, you can select an address to claim the assets on. If there's any collection owned, the collection ownership will be claimed by the selected address as well.
4. Transfer to Single Address (Optional): If you wish to claim all assets and collections in one single address, tap on the Transfer to single address toggle.
5. Complete the Migration: Once satisfied with the migration settings, tap the Continue button, followed by Claim button. This will require a transaction.
ℹ️ Note that the transaction fee is covered by Enjin.
6. Finalizing the Claim: After confirming the claim, your collections and assets will be claimed.
Please note that this process may take up to a few hours, depending on the number of assets being claimed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the Enjin Blockchain and why should I claim assets replicated from Ethereum & JumpNet?
A: Enjin Blockchain enhances scalability with a high throughput of 5,000 transactions per second and low transaction fees of less than 0.001 USD. It can also mint up to 2,000 NFTs in one transaction. Allowing your assets to be replicated on the Enjin Blockchain will bring on-chain utilization and NFT usability.
Q: What is a snapshot and why is it important in this claiming process?
A: In the context of this asset claiming process, a snapshot is a record of all collections on Ethereum and JumpNet at a specific point in time. This snapshot is important as it allows an accurately replicated collections and assets on the Enjin Blockchain, ensuring a smooth and accurate claiming process.
Q: What happens if I don't claim my replicated assets?
A: You won’t be able to interact with your assets on Enjin Blockchain and trade them on Enjin Blockchain’s marketplace.
Q: Can I still claim tokens that were created on Ethereum/JumpNet after the snapshot block?
A: No. Tokens created after the snapshot block won't be claimable on Enjin Blockchain through this process. Any tokens created after the snapshot would have to be re-created on Enjin Blockchain manually.
Q: Can I still trade/buy/sell/burn assets on Ethereum/JumpNet after the snapshot block?
A: Yes, you can still trade/buy/sell/burn assets after the snapshot block, and even after claiming the replicated assets.
Q: Will my replicated assets on Enjin Blockchain have the same ENJ backing as on Ethereum/JumpNet?
A: No, the replicated assets will have 0.01 ENJ on Enjin Blockchain, regardless of their ENJ backing amount on Ethereum/JumpNet.
Q: Can I recover the ENJ backing if I melt the assets after the snapshot block?
A: Yes, if you wish to claim the token on Enjin Blockchain and recover the ENJ backing, you should melt the assets after the snapshot block.
Q: How can I check if my claiming process was successful?
A: An audit trail upon successfully claiming the replicated assets may be checked through matrix.subscan.io.
Q: Can I reverse the claiming process if I change my mind?
A: No. Once signing the claim request, The claiming process is final and the tokens will be replicated.
Q: Are all collections and tokens set for automatic migration?
A: No, not all collections and tokens are configured for automatic migration. The decision rests with the token holders, and some have chosen to manually migrate*.
*Lost Relics and Kingdom Karnage’s Mainnet and JumpNet collections are to be excluded on the automatic migration.
