A watch-only wallet is a Blockchain wallet that is in a read-only state.
This feature is useful for viewing and tracking balances and transactions on wallets that have not been directly imported into your Enjin Wallet. Watching a wallet that holds NFTs also allows you to view these NFTs in the Enjin Wallet.
Note: Watching a wallet does not give you access to that wallet; you are simply viewing its public address in the blockchain, as you would in a blockchain explorer—you cannot perform any transactions in a wallet that you are watching.
To watch a wallet address in the Enjin Wallet, follow these simple instructions:
- Tap on the Wallet tab in the bottom left corner and then tap on the Settings button (⚙️ gear icon) at the top right.
- Tap on the Wallets button.
- Tap on the Add Wallet button.
- Tap on the Watch Wallet button.
In the Watch Wallet section, type or paste the address or ENS of the wallet that you are going to watch.
A Select Blockchain dialog box will pop-up - select the blockchain that you wish to track the wallet in.
If the address is correct, the wallet will navigate back to the Wallets screen and display the newly added watch wallet under the Watched Wallets sub-menu.
Tap the newly added watch wallet to view it's coins / tokens and transaction history.
Note: As the name suggests, you are only watching a wallet. Other than the privileges of a read-only wallet, you have no access to or interaction with that wallet.
