What is ENJ Infusion

ENJ Infusion is an Enjin Blockchain optional feature where users can permanently infuse Enjin Coin (ENJ) inside any token they create. Effectively, this process embeds ENJ into Enjin assets. The infused ENJ can be retrieved by the token holder through “melting” (burning) the asset, with any infused ENJ released to the token holder. This re-introduced concept adds a new dimension to the blockchain and NFT landscape by tying digital assets to a tangible value, providing increased confidence and security for token creators and holders.

Understanding the Concepts of ENJ Infusion

• Infuse ENJ Upon Minting a Token When a token is minted, users have the option to infuse ENJ into it. This initial infusion imbues the token with an inherent ENJ value from the get-go, providing it with a base value.

• Add ENJ to an Existing Token  Token creators and holders (if set to allowed) can also add ENJ to a token that's already been created. Moreover, more infused ENJ can always be added to the existing infused amount.

• Increase Infused Value: The infusion feature is designed such that the amount of ENJ per token can only be increased. This means once you've infused a certain amount of ENJ into a token, you cannot decrease it.

  ⚠️ Currently, there is no established minimum or maximum limit when infusing tokens with ENJ.

• Permission to Infuse: By default, only the token creator has the authority to infuse ENJ into a token, ensuring control over a token's backing value. However, infusion access can be set to Everyone by the token creator, allowing any user to add more ENJ to those tokens.

• Per Token Unit Infusion: The ENJ infusion is done per token unit, meaning each individual unit of a token (in case of tokens with multiple quantity) carries the same amount of ENJ. This uniform distribution applies to all tokens, whether they're single supply, or multiple supply. The same infused value will also apply to every new minted unit of the token. (i.e. If we wish to infuse 10 ENJ to a single unit of a token with a circulating supply of 50, we are required to infuse 10 ENJ to each unit of the token in circulating supply, for a total of 500 ENJ.)

• Melting: Melting is the process of destroying the token, and retrieving the infused ENJ. The user holding and initiating the melt process receives the infused ENJ amount in full. Melting may be initiated in Enjin Wallet, or other dApps that interface with Enjin Blockchain.
