A recovery phrase is a set of 12 human-readable words that serves as the seed to generate the private keys for your wallets across multiple blockchains. It is the most important piece of information for securing and recovering your Enjin Wallet.
How It Works
The Enjin Wallet is a BIP44-compliant Hierarchical Deterministic Wallet (HD Wallet). This means that your wallet address—and all related accounts—can be recovered at any time using your recovery phrase.
Recovery phrases in the Enjin Wallet are generated using the BIP-39 English wordlist.
Example of a recovery phrase:
apple banana car drive emerald fun ghost honey ice juice kite lime
Why It’s Important
Your recovery phrase is the only way to regain access to your wallet if you forget your password, lose your device, or uninstall the Enjin Wallet app.
⚠️ Important: Write down your recovery phrase on paper and store it securely offline. Do not share it with anyone, and never store it in digital formats that may be hacked or leaked.
Security Reminder
Your recovery phrase belongs only to you.
Enjin does not store or have access to recovery phrases or passwords.
If you lose your recovery phrase, it cannot be retrieved or restored by Enjin.
